So in my boredom, i started watching and listening to the intro songs of some of my childhood favorite video games and cartoon. Then it suddenly struck me that even though we are moving forward technological-wise there are somethings that in our minds we cannot replace.
Talking about cartoons, we had the likes of Voltron, The Amazing Spider-man, Transformers, Thundercats, Johnny Quest, Thunder Birds, Extreme Dragon flies...chale they are too many to remember...
When it came to cartoon network kraa we had, Tom and Jerry, Wacky Races, Duck dodgers, Dexter's Lab, Gundam Wings, Jetsons, etc
Then we have today's cartoons; what the heck is the misadventures of FlapJack (that show was so retarded), chale the rest are so disturbing i even forgotten the names...i mean there are a few cool ones like Ben 10 (
even though i have never seen a full episode) and others...
Ok on to other things...the classics would always be things from the past...look at music. We have the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis, Bob Marley, etc. We hear their songs today and we never seem to get tired of them, Of course some songs of our era would also end up being awesome songs we can look back to and say "this song came out when i was in high school and it was such a banger"
Of course our children would probably not appreciate them because they would have their own music of their generation...
When it comes to Technology dieeeeh, i think i have to root for the new cause chale...i can't imagine living in the 70s with what i currently know and have experienced. no cellphones, laptops, ipods (i mean they were using freaking walkmans back then...)..the INTERNET!! OMG i would have just died!!! Life without the internet...chale we have all come a long way oh...its funny, back then life used to go on without all these things too...but its funny how we all want to move forward and not appreciate our roots...hmmm
So whether we support the old or the new...chale i believe they have to exist in a balance...we can't do without the old, because the new has roots from the old....
Life Continues......
